July weather while cruising to Halifax

I am leaving July 4th for the four day cruise to Halifax. How is the weather over the Atlantic this time of year. Are we talking shorts or slacks and sweaters? Please advise me. Thanks

Baring inclement weather you are talking summer weather. NY is scheduled for about
5 days of 90 degrees with a possibility of thunder storms each afternoon due to the heat. That should follow you up to Halifax. Did the same cruise 2 years ago . It was a great time.

Thanks Bill. My concern is that I checked out the long range forcast for Halifax and it looks like highs in the high 60's only. That made me wonder about the temperature out over the ocean. Might be pretty cool? How did you find the weather during your travel days?

Sailed first week of June to Halifax from Baltimore and weather was cool 60's and overcast, but we had a great time. Should be warmer when you go, but remember days at sea can seem cooler due to the ships movement while at sea.
