We're thinking of taking our 15 year old daughter on a Princess cruise during a school break to either Alaska or the Southern Caribbean (On Dawn Princess). We just took a RRCL cruise, which she loved as there were many kids her age.
We've heard that Princess offers nicer amenities, better excursions, and just in general a nicer experience and would like try it next time.
What have your experiences been like for teens on Princess? And, do you think it provides a classier or nicer quality than RC?
I find Princess to be a little more upscale and relaxed atmosphere, still a lot of fun and as long as you are taking your daughter during a "school" break, there should be more teens during those times. Also a note, Princess does limit the number of kids/teens on a ship at a time, so it won't be over-run with families and kids, but still plenty that your teen will find others to hang out with.
There are always kids on cruises during school vacation times. Doesn't matter the line or the itinerary. I took my grandson on the Galaxy to Alaska a couple of years ago. there were 144 kids onboard, mostly teens. My grandson had a ball.
