Default Bus to New York for cruise

I would liek to go on a cruise out of New York. I live near Worcester, MA and thought about taking a bus to New York. Greyhound has buses to the city, but not to the pier. Are there any shuttles to the pier from the bus station or is a cab the only way?

Kbc73,
Yes, there is always "super shuttle", check out their site and see what they can do for you, should be a lot less expensive than a cab:

Port Authority bus terminal and the piers are not that far apart. A cab, even at NYC prices would only be a nominal fare.

I think it's about five minutes, Bill.

And a cab is not "per capita".

My understanding is that Greyhound goes to Manhattan. I don't know New York at all, but my TA said she thought it would be about 30-40 mins to the pier.

If the hound goes to the port authority terminal, it's not very far.

The Hound does go to Port Authority, 42nd St. between 8th and 9th Avenues. The piers are very close to Port Authority, about four long blocks west and maybe six short blocks north. Maybe a mile total. No way is it 30 or 40 minutes in a cab. Five is more like it, ten if traffic is brutal.

There's just no issue here. Jump in a cab and go to the pier. If you want a more comfortable ride to New York, take Amtrak if they're still running.
