Question #1: We'll be spending a few days at Fort Lauderdale Beach at the Sheraton Yankee Trader prior to our cruise leaving from the Port of Miami. As we did not book the hotel through RCCL, we don't have transportation between the hotel and the port. A rental car or even a minivan wouldn't hold that many people plus luggage. (We could split up if we had other transportation like a taxi van if necessary. I contacted the hotel and they were completely in the dark about any van service or transportation that we could use. Any ideas?
Question #2: We will face the same problem upon our return to the port, but I think there are vans, taxis and buses back to both FLL and MIA airports. Would these be cheaper than purchasing the one way trip on the RCCL buses?
On a recent family/friends cruise (13 of us) out of Ft. Lauderdale, I used the services of a company called Weiss Choice Limo. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the 15th St. Fisheries for dinner. I had to beep the Limo driver when we ready to return to the hotel.
They do have a web site: www.weisschoicelimo.com. You may want to call or send them an email with your request. Rates were better than the other limo services.
Thanks some more! Will check it out as well. We probably won't actually reserve anything until it's much closer to the cruise because our numbers seem to keep changing!
