Default Honeymoon Cruise??

Hello, my husband and I are 25 years old. We have looked into going to a Sandals Resort until our travel Agent mentioned how fun the Royal Caribbean, Enchantment of the Seas, 7 Night Eastern cruise is. Would it be a fun honeymoon for a couple our age? Are there other couples our age that take these cruises? Will we feel out of place?? Thanks! Kelly

Kelly,

There will be plenty people your age on that cruise. Cruises, particulary to the Caribbean on the mass-market lines like Royal Caribbean are becoming more popular with younger couples.

Yes there will be plenty of people your age. I was on the EOS this past April, however there will be alot of older clientele too. There is nothing wrong with that but the atomsphere is very different than on a Carnival ship. Personally we prefer Carnival as the cabins are bigger and the food was better, so were the shows. The EOS is an elegant ship and they did a few things for the younger crowd but I think Carnival caters more to the younger and young at heart and has more sea day activities. I had a hard time finding something to do on the EOS during sea days whereas Carnival it was hard to decide what activity to miss. Nonetheless any cruise is basically a good one. You just have to weigh out the cost facter and iteniery. I just booked my cruise on Carnival even though the Royal Caribbean was cheaper but my husband and I really like Carnival, we have had more fun on their ships.

Kelly,
Actually I think both you and your soon to be husband would love a honeymoon cruise on Enchantment of the Seas. You can do as much as you want or as little and there will most likely be other couples such as yourselves, so go and enjoy!

Don't go on the EOS, or any other cruise for that matter. It will drive you nuts trying to figure out how to be bored. You'll become addicted, you'll spend all your vacation time cruising (and figuring out how to pay for them), you'll never have children because they consume cruising dollars, you'll take out second and third mortgages to pay for the next cruise, you'll drive your relatives crazy talking about the latest cruise, and eventually you'll end up in a Charter Hospital for the chronically addicted. It's not worth it !!!

But then I lie a lot too..................<wink>

Regards,
Thomas

Thomas,
I must say, you had me going there for a minute. Actually what you've stated is almost true, it is very addictive.

No Donna it is true, I am testimony to that. It is all I do trying to figure out how I can afford to take the next cruise! My kids laugh at me, my husband shakes his head and tells his boss to run him hard. In fact even his boss asks when we are going on our next one.

Kelly, you are on the right track by checking out the cruise message boards. You certainly will find plenty of information to make the best decision. Just beware, be careful to not base your decision for cruising, entirely on what addicted, ah I mean, seasoned cruisers say. To us, there is no place like a cruise, no place like a cruise, no place like a cruise..... Happy Honeymoon and Congrats! Sue

Kelly, my fiance is 27 and I am 25... we've been on two cruises together and never felt out of place... on our last cruise we were seated at dinner at a table with several honeymooning couples around our age. A cruise is a great vacation for young and old alike, and a very popular choice for honeymooners.

Go on the cruise, you won't be sorry.

Cheers,
Michelle B.
