HELLO! I WILL BE A FIRST TIME CRUISER IN FEB "03-CELEBRITY'S CONSTELLATION. AM DECIDING ON SHORE ESCURSIONS, AND TRYING TO AVOID THE MASSES OF PEOPLE, I HAVE HEARD ARE ON SOME SHIP SHORE EXCURSIONS.
ST CROIX BUCK ISLAND SNORKELING--DO YOU KNOW IF THE SNORKELING IS STRICTLY FROM THE BOAT, OR DO ACTUALLY ENTER FROM THE ISLAND BEACH?
I HAVE TWO 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTERS-WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN SNORKELING BEFORE. I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED--IF THE SNORKELING IS ONLY OFF OF THE BOAT--IF THEY WOULD BE INTIMIDATED, BY THE DEPTH OF THE WATER,ETC.??
ST JOHN OPTIONS--DO YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE NATIONAL PARK'S--RANGER GUIDED--REEF BAY TRAIL HIKE? IT IS AN "ALL DAY" HIKE-EVENTUALLY ENDING AT A BAY FOR SWIMMING, AND A BOAT RIDE BACK TO CRUZ BAY-FOR $15 A PERSON? WHETHER THIS IS WORTH IT, AND HOW FAR AHEAD YOU CAN RESERVE IT-WHICH IS REQUIRED?
I ALSO READ ABOUT DONKEY/HORSE TRAIL RIDES--AT CORAL BAY, ST JOHN, VIA THE CAROLINA CORRAL OUTFIT. HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS
Haven't done any of those excursions, but a little tip about taking your daughters snorkeling. I believe when doing a tour and even not, they will provide vests to wear while snorkeling, I always wear one, so that will help a lot. Its just nice added protection in case you become tired while out there and a lot of the time, I have no idea where I really am.
Have a great cruise on Constillation, we were thinking about that one, but have booked Radiance of the Seas, very simular itinaries, but this one left on a Sat and worked out better for us. I have not even started looking at excursions, there are so many to choose from.
