We'll be going on a cruise w/a group in just 2 months or so. The mother of one of the girls we are bringing along would like to go, too. Decided rather late and has no companion for her cabin, as her daughter is already booked into a cabin w/3 others and wants to remain with her girlfriends. I have heard about single/share categories and so forth - something like they try to match you with someone of similar sex, etc. Can you tell me how this works? Would the T/A be the best to ask about it or should she call the cruiseline direct? Do you think we are too close to the sailing to do this? Thanks for any help!
You are definitely not too late. If rooms are available it should not be a problem to book one. In fact, if the cruiseline has a guaranteed share program and they are unable to match her up with someone she is likely to get a room to herself and only pay for a single.
