Default How to get on the first tender?

Is there a way to ensure that you are on the first tender to the destinations, other than booking an excursion?

Thanks!

Hi Young@heart,
Only the people who have excursions booked will be on the first tender, the rest usually have to get a tender ticket, which is first come, first serve. I'd suggest you just get to the area onboard where they are passing out the numbers and get one early, good luck!

Booking a suite won't help. It is first those that hold excursion tickets and then after they are handled it is first come first served and you usually pick up a number in the lounge. Take a number and wait for it to be called.

Do the excursions have to be purchased thru the cruise line? I'm assuming that excursions that you purchase on your own do not count. Is this correct?

Unless you are in a suite on HAL - they get the first tickets, period, if they want one.

Yes, Yvonne,
It has to be a ship excursion ticket in order for you to get the first tender off the ship.
