Default Getting to Tampa from Orlando?

The only way we have found to get from Tampa to Orlando seems to be the Greyhound bus, which we didn't really want to have to do.

Does anyone know how much a cab would cost? Or how much for a transfer company, if there are any that do that? We really don't want to have to pay 500 bucks to get there, though. =)

thanks in advance.

It's about 75 miles from Orlando to Tampa so I'd imagine a cab could cost quite a bit. Don't know any way to get there - I've only driven it myself.

I think Mears shuttle goes between MCO and Tampa. However, it is quite far, so you may wish to rent a car.

Young@Heart---we too are going to Orlando from Miami---Our TA booked a car from Avis, can drop off at Lake Buena Vista, right by Walt Disney World, take Disney transportation to our on site disney property, no drop off charge and is about $70.00 US dollars. Hope this helps

I like the idea of renting a car. I am renting a car just to get from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale after our cruise. We have about 5 or 6 hours to kill until our flight takes us back home, so we're going to drive around South Florida for the afternoon. And the $27 rate (AFTER taxes and fees) will be cheaper than the $30-$40 we would spend combined for the Carnival shuttle back to FLL airport.

Or, go to alamo.com and try rate code "RD". That's how we got the nice deal.

Also, you might look into car services. For a fee, my father drives people 50-60 miles to the Philadelphia airport and back. This way, people get door-to-door service, without worrying about the time, cost, or hassle of parking their car.
