atlantis

hi,

does anyone know of an cruise ship going to the atlantis?Also has anyone ever been to the Atlantis and if so, was it really "heaven on earth"?

I suppose you mean the Atlantis resort and casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas? If so, all cruise ships that stop in Nassau, Bahamas offer an excursion to Atlantis.

Here's a list of ships that stop in Nassau.

You don't have to take the ship's excursion, either; it's easy to get to yourself, by taxi or water taxi. It's worth seeing once, but I personally thought it was a bit overdone. The charge to see the aquarium ("The Dig") is $25 per person. It's a matter of opinion, but I thought that was overpriced. The casino, of course, is free.

Personally i think Atlantis is too big for Paradise Island. It belongs in Vegas.

The trip to Atlantis is worth the $4 cab ride. Definitely one of Nassau's major attractions, other than the beaches. You can decide if you want to spring for admission to the aquarium and digs after previewing them in the lobby. Besides, the whole place is air conditioned.

Atlantis is a great place if you just want to wander around, hit the casinos, walk thru the aquarium (The Dig) ooh and aahh at the yachts, hit the beach for a small fee. It is a beautiful place.

If you go to Atlantis in the evening there is no security and you can walk around the "digs" without paying the $25 fee. It is definately nice but not worth the fee otherwise.
