Default Passport?

Do we need passpoert when going to Bilize and Cozumel? We only needed birth certificates for the Bahamas. Thanks for any answers.

As of this date, I believe you are ok with just the bc and photo id, but cruise lines have been asked by the US Government to inform their passengers that pretty soon a passport will be required for any travel outside the USA.......if I were you I would get passports. It just makes everything much easier and it is the ultimate ID.

Hi, Dave ...

We are going to Belize this week (but also to some other countries) and were asked for our passport numbers straight off.

I agree with Lisa. It's a good idea to have one.

I spoke to my Carnival representative last Friday and was assured that a certified copy of my birth certificate and a state issued picture id (ala driver's license) would suffice for Cozumel. They did say that it would probably be changing on the next few months.

Amongst other things that changed! Just came back from Mex Riveria and found out that alcohol was now limited to 1 liter per person over 21 and several pain killers that only 10 months ago we were able to buy in MX without prescription now require it. As of last week though a photo ID and certified birth certificate was enough. I would however verify before you sail if that has been changed to require passport.
