No Cabin Assignment

We sail on Sunday and our tickets show cabin 000. I'm just wondering what we
put on our tags? Do we take our luggage into the terminal get the cabin number
and then give the bags to a porter? If we put cabin 000 on the tags, will they look
up the right cabin number?

When you drop off your bags tell the porter that you do not know your cabins assignment. They will look it up on the manifest and put it on your bags or you can yourself. It is also a neat way to learn just what cabin you have ended up with before getting to check-in. <G>

Hi Rose,
What ship are you on? Some of the major cruiselines will list the cabin numbers on-line at their web-sites if you did a guarantee and if they have assigned a cabin for you. This works with Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity, you on any of those?

Otherwise, what Jim mentioned is what you should do, just leave your cabin number on your tags empty until you get to the pier and find out where you are.

You can find your cabin assignment with Holland America by clicking immigration documents on their web site.

The purpose is to fill out all your documents on line. You will get a page to print that will authorize express check in. Just present the paper and skip filling out all the paperwork.

The reason for that diatribe is that the document you print out has your cabin number!

As stated in previous threads, you can save yourself some hassle by leaving the room number blank until you arrive at the pier with sharpie in hand and have checked the porter's manifest.

Everytime I write the room number in large numbers using permanent ink, we get a last minute up grade.

Call your t/a. You should have your cabin assignment now. Worst case scenario, as Robo said, the longshoreman waiting to check your bags all have copies of the most current passenger manifest. They WILL have your assignment.

Hi Mindy,
You should receive those numbers apon booking. Most travel agents will send you a conformation right after you make your deposit and those numbers should be on them.
