Default drinking water

My wife and I are wondering if the water on board the Destiny ship is ok to drink and also ice cubes.

We also will be going to San Juan, St Thomas, Aruba, Barbados and Martinique. Does anyone know if the water is safe to drink in those ports or should we drink bottle water?

Thanks for any information you can give.

Water on board ship is purified on board and it is most certainly safe to drink (and the ice is made of the same water.) In ports I do drink bottled water if I need to drink something.

No, no, ... don't drink the water. Ice cubes yes as long as they have purified liquor mixed in to destroy any bacteria.

Just kidding the water is very safe. Better than I have at home from the cities finest.

the ship's water is fine, we do however bring bottled water for our shore excursions just to be on the safe side.

Why not bring an empty bottle and fill it with that purified ship's water? A lot cheaper and lighter to pack.

Ship's water is distilled, the usual method of removing salt.

When we were on the Victory we were given a galley tour and the one of the crew told us that the water that is offered on the Lido Deck is good for drinking but the water that comes out of the taps in the bathroom is questionable and should be avoided for drinking. I of course drank the water and had no ill effects (maybe a ploy to sell more of the evian water provided in the cabin?)

We were told the water that comes from the taps in our bathrooms is good water. So we took water bottles along to do that same thing. Thought we would save some money. Well the water at dinner was great. But sometimes the water coming from the taps in bathroom were brown. No way were we drinking that water. Maybe just a fluke but we stayed away from the taps. We bought our bottled water on the ship and when we went ashore too.
