I am planning a solo trip in May or June on MSC - their itineraries are perfect for me. I am SF, 44, low-key and independent, but I do like to make on board friends for dinner and some touring. I am concerned that because this is a Mediterranean line, there may not be many English speaking people. Can you give me a general idea of the percentage of English speaking people on the Med cruises? Does the cruise line try to place people in the dining room based on status/age group?
Many thanks for any advice. Jeana
Jeana -- I think you may find a small number of Brits, maybe 10% of the total number of cruisers, but none to few Americans. Brits can be nice, or stand-offish. They aren't very fond of GW right now, but they won't give you a hard time about it. I suggest taking some good reading just in case.
