I'm thinking about taking the 10 day Caribbean cruise out of Baltimore on Celebrity's Galaxy on September 12th. I've been on several cruises before and just loved them . . . of course I was always with my husband. Now . . . as a "single" 56 year-old woman, I was wondering if someone traveling alone would find cruising as enjoyable. As an over-worked attorney . . . I want to swim with the stingrays, play with the dolphins but I also want to just relax. I guess my question is . . . will it be easy (on Celebrity) to meet others of like mind?
Don't know about Celebrity but I haven't had any problem traveling single on Princess. I take traditional late dining at a large table ... and participate in the trivia games and have found both good ways to meet people. As far as shore excursions - shouldn't be a problem for you.
I cruise the Emerald Princess, Eastern Caribbean on April 16, 2012
