My husband and I are going on our first cruise ever 1/25/04 Carnival Victory. We want to come to Miami on that Fri. and Sat. before the cruise. We would like a hotel that offers a shuttle to the hotel from the airport and also to the ship. We are in our mid 40's any help would be appreciated.
Sorry - I don't know of a hotel that offers a shuttle both ways, but I can tell you, for example, that a taxi to South Beach from the airport is $24 and from the same hotel to the pier is about $16. That's about $40. Once you know that, you can use it to compare the differences between a hotel that does offer a shuttle and one that does not.
I am the editor, but I also speculate, ask questions and play devil's advocate. I reserve the right to change my mind.
Try the Hyatt, we used that one on Priceline and got a great rate, and they did have a shuttle to and from the ship, that was last September but maybe they still do, will save on parking at the pier which is not far away We were able to get it on Priceline for 33.00 per night
We used our Hilton Honers points and stayed at the FountainBlue on Miami beach for 2 nights, on the concerge floor for free. Great beach, pool and resort type activities. It was an inexpensive (compared to San Francisco ) taxi ride to the hotel and around $25 back to the airport.
