Default when is the best time to cruise

When do you Cruise Mates think is the best time of year to cruise price wise?

And also the best place for that best price cruise.

If this is your first cruise then I would say start with a Caribbean cruise, as far as price I am limited to a time frame of January, February or March so this is the best time (price wise) for me. Of course living in NE Illinois makes this time appealing. (for obvious reasons) {{grin}}

I've seen (for Mexico) October is a good price time, as is Nov and Dec. January is always cheap for the 4-nighters

Generally there are two times of year that cruises are less expensive: hurricane season, and months when school is in session. September through early December tends to be cheaper, as well as January through early March.

As for recommendations, we're not allowed to recommend travel agents by name on the boards, but once you find a time frame and destination you're interested in you might try posting on the Bargain Finder. Travel agents will e-mail you with price quotes. It's a great way to shop around for the best deal.

Favorite time for good prices is The Decebler cruise 14-22 right before the christmas cruise and the ones leaveing jan. 1-5 right after the new years cruises. Also any time in October. Look around. June July are usually ver expensive. any other thoughts or questions are welcome!!!
