Default Un-Corking FEE!

I've been on two other RC cruises and am going on one Sun out of Galveston, TX. It seems to me I read that in the on board liquor store you could pay an additional $8 un-corking fee which would allow you to take the bottle to your room and open it. Is this true??? Thanks................................Ward

Hi Ward,
I thought they charged you that if you brought the bottle to the dining room for dinner?
Anyone else know for sure?

Well, that was the story a year ago, and I guess they're still doing it.

They let you take the booze to your room for an extra eight bucks or so. They didn't call it a corkage charge, because that's not really what it is.

In many cases the extra cost brings the booze to the rough equivalent of what you can get it for elsewhere, but getting it on board is very convenient, and you're not breaking any rules.

I think Donna's reply refers to wine that you bring to the dining room from an outside source.

Thanks AR,
That does sound right now that you mention that.
