I was hoping someone could explain how the Meet on Board function works...In particular, I'm wondering how the sign-up info in Meet on Board is used to get people together who are sailing on the same ship at the same time...I'd like to do a roll-call for my cruise, and would like to ask people to use Meet on Board so we can get together. Any thoughts on the subject would be most appreciated. Thanks!
When you post on the "meet on board" just put that info into your message and hopefully you can get a group together to actually meet during the cruise. Its a great place to start and you should also have the others e-mail addresses so you can keep in contact until the cruise.
Thanks for your quick response...I'll be on Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas from Oct 5-12. There didn't seem to be that many people using the Meet on Board functionality, which is why I wanted to start with a roll-call request in the single cruising chat room, and point people to Meet on Board. That said, if I wanted to meet folks who signed up for the Meet on Board on the cruise itself, I was unsure of how I would be able to do that, considering that the only info I have is their e-mail address. Someone in another chat area suggested asking folks for their booking numbers, so we could look them up on-board, but I'm sure most folks would have a privacy issue with that. Any thoughts?
Other than using their e-mail to get in contact with them, I see no way that you can get their booking numbers. Gosh, your cruise is around the corner, we'll be on Voyager in Feb, so a long wait yet.
Only other suggestion, is to start a post with a "roll call" for you cruise and see what responses you get from that....worth a try.
Have a great time, hope you post a review when you get back, I'm sure I'll have questions for you :-)
