Are you allowed to carry a travel iron on in your luggage? We've previously taken one; however, read something that said no irons allowed in rooms. Don't want to take it then be told I can't have it.
They do not want to see irons of any type in the staterooms because it is a fire hazard. Leave your iron at home and take a steamer or use the one in the self-serve laundry rooms.

don't bring it. Use the irons in the laundry rooms, use the paid laundry service, bring a steamer, pack a bottle of wrinkle reducer spray or "steam" your clothes in the shower.
The kind of wrinkle reducer spray I've seen is by Downy (or one of the other fabric softener companies) and is available in the laundry products section at the grocery store.
I guess you spray the clothes and hang them in the bathroom to de-wrinkle.

My travel iron is going with me.....packing always causes problems no matter how hard you try to pack beter. The laundry room is never avail when I need it.
Sorry but i agree with Joie. My travel iron is going with me. We have been on 2 cruises with RC and never has anyone had a problem with it. Just be responsible and unplug the thing when you are finished.
If you insist on bringing a travel iron please get one that turns off automatically after a period of time. Or call me, and I'll go with you (your treat!) and make sure it is unplugged after you use it. <wink>
You should check with your cruiseline to see if they offer ironing service. We had it on HAL for only $15/cabin, and they ironed anything we gave them for the entire week! It was the best 15 bucks I've ever spent on a cruise. Plan for a 24-hour turnaround; your evening wear will be hanging in the cabin when you come in to get ready for dinner.
