Hi, I'm a first-time cruiser and have a quick question about BC's and I.D. Once on the ship, when we go to a port of call, will it be necessary to take my BC off the ship each time? It seems to read in the cruise docs that all that is required to reboard the ship is my drivers license and the Fun Pass. BTW, I'm going on the Carnival Paradise. Thanks!
All you need to get back on the ship is your sign and sail card and a picture ID. The picture ID is more used at some of the piers because your sign and sail card will put your picture up on the machine when you board the ship.
Having a picture ID and possibly a coppy of your birth certificate is good if something happens to you in port. You may need it if say you got injured on a tour or walking around the port.
I'm pretty sure that a certified copy is one from the dept. of statistics, depart. of health, etc. In my area, small, small town, we go to the town office and get an official copy, it has an embossed stamp on it. They aren't talking about a photo copy, but you should carry the photo copy with you and your official copy should be left in the safe on the ship. THAT is the one you need to get on the ship to start with!!
