Default FunPass Longer Lines?

I have heard that the funpass line is longer then the other one. If i have already registered for a funpass can i still go into the other line? And has anyone done funpass, if so did the line move rather quickly? Thanks
Nicole

I a interested in the same thing Nicole, I have read the same here also. I am really unsure if the funpass is for checking in or departing. Carnival told me that is was for departing information. But who knows.

It's when you pre-entered your embarkation info on carnival.com

I was under the impression that the funpass was a good thing. I thought it was supposed to make the embarkation quicker, but who knows.

I sailed with carnival on 1/05/04out of Miami. The fun pass line was not as long as the other and it moved very quickly. I would use the fun pass line again.

I did my fun pass online but when I got the docs a month later they said that the fun pass was incomplete. I did print out my confirmation page to take with me to show that it had actually been completed.

When we left out of Long Beach last time they had early check in at the Queen Mary. It made things go a lot faster but does doing the fun pass mean that we get to skip this step and go right the boarding line?

Melanie.....you will still have to check in, you cannot go straight to the boarding line. The idea of the FunPass is to make check in easier, but it looks like there are still some bugs to be worked out.

The FunPass line was longer on my cruise and to judge whether it went faster I picked out a person in the regular line to see if I gained on him. I did not. When I went to the counter I told the agent the line didn't move any quicker than the regular line and she told me they had a computer glitch going on. That's the way she explained it, but I have my doubts.

One of NicoleM's questions wasn't answered. If you have completed the funpass, can you still go in the "regular" line or must you go into the funpass line?

You can go in the regular line. They just have to verify your personal information.

Thomas,

So what's your advice? We are going on the Victory in March. Let's say we get to the terminal and the "regular" line is shorter than the Funpass line. Would you get into the regular line?

Thanks for your help.
Gayle

Just went thru the same on RCCL, I think the Fun Pass line is still your best bet. We boarded in 12 minutes on RCCL with the same online info.

I don't know, I think if the regular line is shorter I'd get in it. It seems more people are getting online to pre-register expecting it so speed things up but in my only experience with it it was not any faster.

Thomas
