We are booked for Feb. 3 on the Spirit, and at mycruisevalue.com I found our cruise price has gone down over $150. We booked thru a Travel Agent, but would it do any good to contact Carnival to get ship credit or something. We have 8A upgraded to 8I for 878, and now they are 686 on line price and 761 over the phone. Thanks for any help you can throw our way
First of all you have to check to see if the price has gone down on the Carnival web site. You can't expect your TA, or Carnival, to match a lower price that you simply found another TA offering.
If in fact Carnival did lower the price, you should have your TA call to get you an upgrade or shipboard credit for the difference.
We had this situation on our 1/26 Spirit sailing, and we're working on it now. Seems they are not as co-operative meeting the lower price with groups as individual bookings, but we're following up to try and convince them.
