Re: LIFE BOAT DRILL
The only thing you are required to "wear" is the life vest at the time of the drill. Oh,
and be decent, of course.
However, any other clothing items are entirely up to you, based on the weather at the time of your drill. If there actually was a need to abandon ship, that is when you might
want to consider some of the items you mentioned.

Re: LIFE BOAT DRILL
Lyn, Someone seems to be pulling your leg on all aspects of your cruise. you where whatever you have on at the time of the drill and you bring and put on your lifejacket.
and there are not coffee pots in rooms and you do tip for room service even when you have tips added to your account.

Lyn
Are you just trying to get us to keep laughing? You know...have some fun on this board?
Or you have people who are having a lot of fun with you!
Of course...at one time we all were 1st time cruisers and I guess the only dumb question is the one that is never asked...right? So keep the questions coming..we love talking about cruisin!
You will really love cruisin!

Re: LIFE BOAT DRILL
Lyn: Please ask any questions you like...that is why we are here. You sound like you are hestitant about your cruise. Is there anything we can do to make you feel more comfortable? Believe me when I say, you will be hooked on cruising after your first one.
We have a nightly chat that we would love you to join. We can alleviate any fears you might have. They begin at 9 p.m. eastern time Monday through Friday...join us.

Lyn, please ask away really. Thats how we all learn more! But one more thing.... try not to use upper case letters in your entire message. People will think you are screaming at them!

Re: LIFE BOAT DRILL
While everyone on these boards loves cruising, I must point out that some people do not. My mother didn't like cruising, she said is was too regimented, too confining, too crowded, etc. So she only went on 7 of them!

Thomas

Re: LIFE BOAT DRILL
9 times out of 10 it will be shorts, t-shirts & sandals, no dress code for the drill, just bring your lifevest. Ask anything you want, no such thing as a dumb question.

Don't wear anything - go naked!
Just kiddin' ya
The best was 1 couple that got married that morning on the ship - they came in wedding dress/crown & his tux & each had a drink in their hand. Looked cute w/the life jackets on.

Re: LIFE BOAT DRILL
I absolutely hate lifeboat drills. I know it's for my own good, but . . .
As to what to wear, try a life vest only, if you're in a warm port.
