Default Tips when traveling alone question

While I certainly understand tipping a room steward as if there were 2 people in a room (when in fact there is only you), should a lone traveler also tip the waiter and asst. waiter double, even though you are one diner? I would think not, especially if you are seated at a full table of other solos. Any tipping suggestions for people traveling solo would be greatly appreciated.

You should tip only for yourself. It's not expected for you to tip more.

Survey says, NO. When you're travelling alone, tip for one person. I usually give my cabin steward a little extra, but only if I've asked for or have received unusual service.

why is this even an issue? even the lines that add tips to your account charge Ten dollars per person per day one person ten dollars. Seems perfectly simple to me.

I tip for one person dining as each person at the table tips. However I tip more for cabin service as the cabin needs to be cleaned whether occupied by one or two. I usually give the "extra" early in the cruise and find I always get great service.
