Default Seas rough from Boston/New York?

Hi to all,

Though we have cruised from FL before, we will be sailing south from Boston in October. Does anyone know what seas/weather we may encounter for those first few days?

Yes, even if there are no hurricanes around which there frequently are then, the sea is rough going down the coast because of the gulf stream.
