I'm looking for quotes on a Celebrity cruise on the "Millie" next Jan. and so far in my searching the price I have quoted from cruisequick.com is $500 below my next best quote with port, tax, and gvt. fees included...has anybody had experience with this net-agent they can share with me? First cruise and I'm not sure whether to go local TA or rely on the net for the price.
I just booked on cruisequick for a cruise next month. I've got my e-Docs and everything went smoothly. I've read many postings from others who were happy with cruisequick. Try Fodor's cruise forum and Cruisecritic for other posters' experience. I'd go ahead and book it. Just remember that they charge for any changes to your cruise so be sure you have the cabin you want.
We have booked a cruise for 6 of us in July. Everything has gone smoothly so far and have had great e-mail responses to my questions. They had offered 3 cabins in our catagory, but when i found 3 available ones on another website, I asked them for those instead and they gave them to me....that took place before I booked tho' and there was no charge to change. They have honored a MasterCard promotion that I found on another website and have allowed me to make an extra payment so that I could take advantage of the offer. So far, so good! I had also read positive things about them before booking. You do have to know what ship, cabins, etc you want ,so do your homework.
When I booked our last family cruise (6 cabins) it was rare to find anyone in the office, and it would take days to have my call returned. At least with cruisequick.com they answer your email sometimes within minutes. Will book with cruise quick next time, because their rates are so low and emails always answered promptly, and no I am retired and not affiliated with this co.
I have taken several cruises in the past and booked through travel agents.
I read up and do all my homework so I know exactly what I want. Why pay a travel agent then? I read so many positive posts on all the boards for "Cruisequick" then searched the "Better Business Bureau". After feeling better about checking them out , I booked with them in Nov. for my upcoming cruise in MArch on the Voyager.
They have been fantastic! First I booked the specific room I picked out and also asked for Early dinner. After paying my deposit I found a better room opened up and they changed it for me. Then after I paid my balance off IN FULL, I decided to change my dinner seating, no problem. THEN- I got a $125.00 Cruise & Anchor member coupon in the mail. I thought that figures! I e-mailed them, and got a reply back that I would be refunded $105.00 (less a small comission because they're already discounted). Which was fine by me. My check should be here tomorrow or Saturday.
In all I saved $425.00 through them verses the lowest price I was quoted from a cruise specialty Travel agent!
I might point out that NO TRAVEL AGENCY will always be able to provide you with the lowest price AND that the lowest price is not always the best price. Shop around each and every time. One of the reasons I do not recommend any one agency is because there are literally thousands of excellant agencies out there. It is just a matter of finding who has the best deal, (not price), for each cruise.
