Default To Jim Bragg.

Just curious why one of my posts was edited to remove the names of some dot-com agencies with your message stating advertising is not allowed, when you allow cruisequick.com posts below to remain?

Just curious.

Regards,
Thomas

It's touchy Thomas. Someone 'asked' about that specific agency and that is very borderline. If I know or suspect that they are an agent then it is deleted immdeiately. Otherwise so long as they give their experiances good or bad I guess that is okay when they are asked about something specific. What isn't allowed is to say "Try such and such company or this one or that one as they are great". I would prefer that people reply in private about any TA that others ask about but that would be a perfect world and we certainly don't live in one. Now you see why it is so difficult to delete and we hate to do it. <G>
Jim

BTW My friend who works in the CCL tours division will be here today and looking for possible post cruise tours for the Jax area. Any suggestions from your end? I have some already she is exploring.

Nah, not really. Don't know of anything that jumps out as being something unusual or spectacular..................unless it's the tour of the Anheuser Busch plant!

Thomas

Ha! That is one of the two suggestions I had for her! <> The other was the Zoo. Really not much for tourists to do in Jax itself. Everybody does the beach or comes down here to St Aug.

Jim, I like the Jax zoo! I think it's a really good zoo. The only other trips I could think of would be St. Augustine (of course) and maybe a beach break. Amelia Island maybe?

Cheers,
Michelle P.

Besides the routine St. Augustine tours, the World Golf Village might be a good excursion site for the cruisers who are also hackers (no, not those kinds of hackers!)

We have talked about the WGV and the Kingsley Plantation. I am sure that St Aug will be a tour and we have even talked about the Alligator Farm. <G> We'll see what she thinks and what CCL think later on.

There is some really good offshore charter captains in Daytona, and St. Augustine as well, but gosh..........from Pt. Canaveral anything in St. Augustine or Jacksonville is really a long drive. I think it takes me just over 2.5 hours to get from my house to the port.

Thomas

Thomas. The post cruise in St Aug and Jax will be from the Jax port. The post cruise to Daytona and Cape Kennedy are from Port C.

Oh, O.K. I wasn't thinking about the Jax port. There are a couple of fishing charters out of Mayport, one is the Mayport Princess which is a brand new boat. I think it holds 80 or so.

Plenty of golf courses too. Maybe the fort at St. Augustine or Amelia Island.

Thomas
