soft drinks, free or what?

I read several emails about "drink cards".

My agent told me soft drinks are free and unlimited. (Princess Lines)

So, what is a drink card?

I know this may seem simplistic, but my travel agent just flew to Italy!

Soft drinks are NOT free and unlimited on Princess. They do have a drink card - something over $20 - which is good for fountain drinks only ... no canned or bottled drinks. You can get coffee, tea and iced tea free. I've never bought the drink card but I think it amounts to a sticker placed on your sail card which you carry with you at all times because it's also your cabin key.

In your checked luggage (well wrapped), okay. In your carryon - nope. Or you can send yourself a gift of booze ... you'll get a form before sailing to order gifts.
