Default Wine at Embarkation

I read that we can take wine and champagne on board at embarkation. Is this true? Are there any limitations that you know of? We will be going on a 5 day on Sensation. Thanks for any input !!

Carnival does allow wine to be brought on board only at embarkation. However, to avoid any possible problems, we took 2 bottles of our favorite wine, wrapped them in bubble wrap and put them in our checked luggage. No problems. worked fine.

Thank you for responding. 2 bottles is what we were thinking of taking as well.

WE wrap our wine in socks and then roll it upo in jeans. Put it in the checked luggage and away we go.

You had better check about the fridge again, I understood that on the Sensation, only the suites have fridges.
