can I use my sign and sail card, for gambling?

You can get cash or chips with it. Just check to see if there is a fee to do that (some charge like a percentage to use the card there _ Royal Caribbean didn't charge anything on our last trip.)

As far as I understand it, Carnival uses 3%.

That's right there is a service charge. We used it one night and then hubby said it was cheaper to go to ATM on board and get money.

We did that on our last Carnival cruise...and they took 3% fees off the top!

The ATM fee was $5 on the Fantasy, plus whatever your bank charges, so the 3% at the casino is actually cheaper....

dorothy, absolutely cheaper than ATM. If you are using it for gambling it won't last long anyways unless you have a lucky hat.
