Looking for suggestions. We are a married couple, 38 and 40 years old. We don't have children. We drink only occassionally; usually if we are on a cruise, we will have about three drinks each for the whole cruise. We don't gamble. We have been on the Disney Cruise twice, and just recently the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Sea. We live near Port Canaveral, so we have just gone out of that port. We were thinking of going on a cruise again in November for our anniversary. We usually go on our cruises in November to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoy relaxing at the pool, going to the shows, dining with other passengers, dancing at the discos, going on excursions by ourselves at the ports of call. We did not like the Mariner as much as the Disney Ship. We did not get the service on the Mariner that we got on the Disney. We have been considering a Carnival Cruise since they have the Glory that goes out of Port Canaveral, but since we have been on both a Western and an Eastern cruise, we were also thinking about going on the Dawn Princess out of Fort Lauderdale to the Southern Caribbean in November. I have heard that the Princess lines were really nice, but from reading the reviews, I can't really tell if it's our kind of ship, or not. We don't like the old foggie crowd, but we don't like the stupid idiotic drunken twenty-something crowd either. Disney had a lot of kids, but they really seemed to keep them busy.
Lisa, we flew to San Juan and did the Celebrity ship, Galaxy. This was very much to our liking and from your description we think alike. We did all our own excursions and loved the ship ports. Happy sailing from wherever you end up.
