last-minute booking
How desparate is Carnival to sell cabin space just before sailing? I'll be in Miami June 24-30 and know there is a 3-day Bahamas cruise during that time. I'm not desperate to get on the cruise so it's no big deal if I don't get on, I'll just continue the sun and fun in South Beach. What's the chance that I could get a cheap single cabin if I booked the week before or even the day before? I don't care where the cabin is but I do want it to myself. Has anyone priced single cabins at very last-minute? Thanks!

Re: last-minute booking
I dug deep into the site and found out you have to book at least 72 hrs in advance because of 9/11. Do they ever drop the single's supplement?

They do not drop the single supplement. You 'might' be able to get a good last minute deal about a week out but as you have found out, you are not going to buy passage the day before the cruise.
