Default Difference in rooms

Help please! Ok, I understand the difference between the decks and such, what I don't understand is the different categories in each. Such as 6A or a 6D? What does this really mean? Is it the placement on the Deck? I've been reading about how people get upgraded and I just don't get it!

Thank you for your help!!

D~

HI Deni,
Yes, in most cases the difference is the location on ship. Midship cabins sell first, you feel less motion being there, also the higher up you go, the higher the price goes as well. The cabins are basically the same in size and everything else.
