As a first time cruiser, should we be concerned if the forecast is mostly cloudy and rainy? What might we expect on board with a rainy/stormy forecast? What about "smooth sailing" in inclimate weather? Are we in for a rougher ride? Thanks!

you didn't specify which islands, but 9 times out of 10 when it rains it rains for about 20 minutes to a half an hour then clears up, unless there is a storm cooking. If its a major storm, your captain will change course for safety. Your ship is a very stable vessel, but it is a moving vessel in a moving body of water so if you run into a storm of course you will feel the motion, it basically feels like you have had a wee bit much to drink and are staggering about a bit.
