OK. I am surprised that I have not read this before but I really must ask. On all of the ocean view rooms on the victory they say that you have the use of a robe. You can buy it if you want to. What do they do with the robes that people have worn and did not buy?? Is that the robes we are wearing?????? I really pray that they are new robes.
i imagine they do wash them. i strongly doubt they use robes for one week and then dispose of the to give everyone new robes...that would be like using a brand new set of sheets for a new group of passengers...too much money....i think they just wash them.
Sure - just like in a hotel. We recently stayed at the Bellagio in Vegas and had robes in our room that were for sale in the gift shop for over $300!! I am sure they just wash them and hang them up for the next folks.

Granted, I wouldn't want to buy a used robe but there's no big deal with just wearing one. After all, my face would be all over a pillowcase every night that a thousand people have used before. And who knows what people have done in the sheets. Compared to that, a robe is no big deal! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, lol.

I always found that to be a bummer.....on the last night when you NEED a robe (all of your other clothes is out in the hallway in your suitcase!) you have no robe to use! I always make my husband go out & put the bags out....haha....

The morning we returned to port on the Carnival Miracle, I woke up early to watch the sunrise and see the ship barely scrape by under the Dames Point Bridge in Jax. I knew it would be chilly on deck, so I wrapped one of the Carnival robes around me before I left my cabin.

The old robes are laundered, and if someone requests to purchase , a new robe is provided -at least this is my experience from the hotel industry. We did however charge full price when someone's robe was not in the room at check-out. In fact we had to put signs in the closet warning about leaving your robe unattended at the spa and the resulting "liability"-it was strange how many guests asked how much the robes were and upon finding out had theirs "mysteriously walk away" while in the hot tub).
