Room Assignments??

I have checked and my GTY reservation has been assigned a room number. Is there a possibility this room will change? I hope it does not because I am very pleased with the current room assignment.

If you are pleased with your current stateroom assignment, have your TA call the cruise line and put in a request for a firm room, do not upgrade.

Thanks for the info. Although I would be happy with an upgrade, I do not want a downgrade. Does that happen?

You will never get a cabin lower than the category guarantee that you booked. I had two friends that had booked on Carnival and used the "Kelly Method" to find their cabin and were happy to find they had been assigned a Cat 11 suite. A few days later they looked again and found that they had been reassigned a Cat 9 cabin. That was the cabin they ended up with.

They had booked a Cat 8x guarantee.
