does anyone have any suggestions on this matter???
when i went to register for Fun Pass 3 weeks ago i realized that my TA had my first and middle names switched around and this is something i cannot change online myself. i have asked my TA to correct the problem several times, but it still has not been corrected. she says she sent in paperwork to carnival to correct it, but now she's not returning my phone calls or emails! i'm also worried b/c i payed my final payment over a month ago on my debit card and it still hasn't come out of my bank account. i called carnival, but they aren't allowed to give me any info and they say my TA has to correct my name. what is going on here!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????? my cruise is 10/3/04 (less than 5 weeks away). has anyone else had this problem before?? what if i get my documents and my name is wrong???
One thing you might try to do and that is go into the bookmodify part of your reservation on the carnival site--at least you can check to see if your payment has been credited to your account.
to access this info go into the carnival site--log in with your password etc. then when it brings up your cruise itenerary, on the top where the web address is where is says https://www.carnival.com/MyReservation.asp--highlight MyReservation and in it's place type in BookModify --then hit enter--that should pull up more cruise information and in the bottom of that page it will have your account information--you can look and see if it's paid.--hope this helps
I would not wait for your travel agent to return your calls. I would keep calling and calling and calling until she answers. You know the saying..."the squeaky wheel..."
However, if she works out her home, it could be that she is out of town or something. I would call Carnival again and explain that your agent is not returning your calls and maybe in that circumstance they might be able to help you.

I don't know who your travel agent is.... but she sounds just like mine. My agent makes me feel as if I'm bothering her if I call with a question. I had the problems with the inforamtion on Fun Pass as well and it took me almost two months to contact my agent. My cruise is the Carnival Legend leaving 11/3/04. I made my final payment over a month and a half ago and after tons of phone calls to the agent (because Carnival will not deal with you if you have an agent), the money finally came out of my account last week.
I am an avid cruiser and have been on many cruises and I normally have an agent that I have used for many years. This time I chosed a different agent because for some reasons when I was pricing my cruise, this new agent came out to be $100 cheaper pp than my normal agent, so I switched. I will never do that again. My normal agent is a large company located in Florida with many many vacations specialists working for them. This new agent is in California and theres maybe two others working there (I think) besides herself.
this TA had an offer of $80 cheaper b/c i was added on to a group booking that she had made. that's why i went with her too (cheaper)! i finally had to call the "main hub" Agency and leave a stern email. i was contacted a few hours later by another agent who said that MY agent had not been heard from for a few months and they were worried about her (hope she's ok). this new agent took care of me immediately (with carnival on three-way) & we were able to straighten things out.
my TA said she made my final payment a month ago (Aug 3rd), but carnival said they hadn't heard from the woman since JUNE!!! can you believe that?!! luckily her agency was there to rescue me. my TA was an independent contractor that worked from her home. i'm lucky that her "host" agency could help me! i'm all set now & ready to cruise!! hope you have better luck next time too!!
