Default Cost for Kids under 1 year old

My family is planing to cruise at the first of the year on Costa around 16 of us. My question is, do I have to pay full fare of our son which will be 7 months old at the time of departure or does he travel free or at reduced rate?

Would love to know!!

Thanks,
Geo

Hi Geo,
If you are going with another adult in the cabin, then your son will have a reduced 3/4 person rate, just check the specific cruise, this fare does vary from ship to ship.

Sorry, its not 3/4 fare, its for the 3rd and 4th person cruising in the same cabin after 2 full fare adults.....didn't mean to confuse anywone.

Occassionally some of the cruise lines do have offers of kids free, or drastically reduced fares.

Other than that the general rule is a set rate (somewhat reduced from the first two in the cabin) for 3 rd or 4th in the cabin.... regardless of age.

Been on an 11 night RCI cruise with our then 7 mos. old and had to pay the 3rd person rate. Yikes! It was nearly $1000. Not much of a break since he didn't use any of the facilities. Wish cruising was more like the air industry and offer infants free fare.
