let's see, eat, drink, meet fellow shipmates, unpack, explore the ship, reconfirm your spa and dinner reservations, sit on the deck to watch the sunset and 9 pm sailing

Oh yea, I forgot the most important thing..ENJOY yourself that you made it to the ship safely and with all your luggage

have a great cruise

Wondering around the ship is great! You get to know the lay out that way. Just relax and take it all in! Be sure to join the sail away party!

Ditto to all the above. Pre-sail is one of the best parts of cruising.

Even better than pre-sail is leaving port and watching folks run to get on board! And seeing some watching us wave good bye!!

I read somewhere recently that a survey showed that a majority of couples make love at least once after boarding and before sailing.

What AR said sounds fun...

6 hours is a pretty long pre-sail, especially when you don't have the casino or any of the shops, but hey - your vacation has started, so I am sure that after wandering around getting to know the ship, eating, drinking and people watching you'll STILL be able to enjoy yourselves!

Freddie are you serious there are people running to the ship as it is pulling away in general you can board a ship 4 hours before sailing. I would like to see someone running for a ship as it is pulling away from port.

What do you mean RECONFIRM your dinner and spa apointments? Did you make the reservations before you boarded? Am I missing something that every body else knows that appointments must be made before boarding? thanks for the info

If it is a ship we have never sailed before we take our own tour; starting at the top and working our way down. After that, it is champagne on the balcony.

I won't disagree with AR's statement. Especially after champagne on the balcony. :-)

Take care,
Mike

Dont forget about the ever popular lifeboat drill! Everyone must partake in this event donning those wonderful bulky orange lifejackets. Dont you just love it when the ship photographer takes your picture in it?

Dan:
The "Lots of Time: Little Money Cruise" is a Cruisemates transatlantic from Rome to Fort Lauderdale on 10/24/05.

There will be a number of Cruisemates people on board and it will be a great cruise. The prices are quite low for a 16 day cruise and airfare is also low. Check it out.

Here the link for more information.

i take a small bag on board with me with my bathing suit in it. i like to lie out by the pool and relax in the sun. you will have plenty of time to explore the ship later and there wont be large crowds in the pool area. nice way to unwind and start your vacation. have fun!!!
