I'm leaving tomorrow. I have a small carry on type luggage bag (with shoulder strap) that I have put a 12pk of soda and a 6 pack of water in. It's going to be pretty heavy if I have to wait in line for a long time to board the ship. I was wondering if it's safe to send something like this through checked luggage.. or could it burst open from all the throwing around that the checked luggage endures? So what's safer? check or carry?
Cruisin The Ecstasy out of Galveston~ first to sail after dry docking/ refurbish
Carry it Is the best thing to do I think Because if you think about all the luggage they toss trying to board it it may burst and get on stuff you need the most on your week long vacation tell me about your trip when you get back............
Leave it home. Bring 1 or 2 bottle of water with you for the trip to port. You can refill the bottles on the ship b/c the water is fine.
Buy the soda in your 1st port of call. It may be a $1 or 2 more expensive than at home but it will save on wear & tear & aggravation. You should not check carbonated beveages b/c of the change in pressure plus you don't know how your bags will get tossed around out of your presence.
