Default Know anything about cruise jobs?

Now, I know that it's not all that many crack it up to be, finding "romance" on board, visiting exotic destinations and mostly not working - I already have that sort of idealogy out of the way.

Thing is, I'm almost seventeen and I'll be out of high school in just over a year. I have no idea what I want to do when I get out other than to travel some, so I was wondering if anybody knew anything about cruise jobs?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, didn't realize there was another forum for this. Please disregard.

NCL is the only major cruiseline hiring Americans to work on all their ships.
You can apply online at www.ncl.com

Some good shortcuts:

Human Resources Director for NCL America: Ms Dale Hahn
email her at: dhahn@ncl.com

Human Resources Vice President for NCL: Mr George Chesney
email him at: gchesney@ncl.com

i would love to be on a ship all the time also, but i am not sure i am up to working on one. those poor crew members work MANY hours a day, do various jobs, get paid very little and ( having worked with the public before ) know that not all passengers ( a slight few ) will be the most pleasant people to deal with.

with this in mind i say go for it if this is what you want to do. it would be very exciting to go to all the different places, see things you might not get a chance to see again and meet some wonderful people too.

the cruise ships need hard working and dedicated workers and will welcome you i'm sure if this is your dream job. good luck and let us know if you make it.

dusty -----have a great cruise
