Default best balcony room...where on ship?

Hey everyone,

We booked a balcony room on RCCL's Explorer of the Seas. We sailed on her last year and had a flawless vacation.

Question is: Where is the best part of the ship to have the room? I'd love to have one at the stern, (very back of ship) but what are YOUR recommendations?

Hi Silver Cloud,
You have to be carefull when booking those aft cabin balconies on any Voyager class, some are great, but if you are more in the middle, there are some support beams that block the view. WE had a regular D1 on a corner and had a great view both from the side and the back. Any one on a Radiance class ship don't have that problem. If you are just booking a balcony on the side, more middle is always nice, close to elevators and stairs.

i like my stateroom midships or towards the rear, near an elevator or stairs on a middle deck.

Thanks for the info! We're mid-ship right now but had thought the stern would be cool for watching the wake...perhaps we should keep with what we already have?

Getting excited again...... 4 months, 25 days til we cruise her again!
