I am getting ready to book our cruise on the Carnival Inspiration. Last year, I chose an Oceanview room on the RC Majesty of the Seas. The only downfall was that I picked the wrong floor and ended up with the lifeboats hanging near the window and partially ruining the view.
Can anyone suggest a floor to pick to avoid this happening again. It looks as though they might be above the main deck.
when you look into booking a particular cabin, look for the words "Obstructed or Partially Obstruted View" that will tell you , there will usually be an asterik next to the cabin number and you have to look at the "key" to find out what it means
It sure seemed to me that (on Majesty of the Seas) Deck 8 cabins ALL have limited (but not "obstructed") views -- better views than I had on Deck 2 Forward, but still limited by the lifeboats to some extent. Deck 7 cabins should be considered "peek-a-boo" cabins since anyone walking the promenade have a full view of your cabin whenever you have the shade up.
There are only two Obstructed cabins on the fantasy class, that is V27 and V42, Cat. 11 demisuites, and its hardly obstructed. Just the bow of the rescue boat and a small catwalk keeping you from seeing all the way aft ( not that you would, 'cause of the hump on the side) at a bit higher than the level of the railing. The whole cat. 11 though is not as private as the cat. 12's, and they are the only two balcony categories on the ship.
