Default Native currency

First-timer wondering if I need native currency before we set sail. Going to Mexico & Grand Cayman, would like to do our own shore excursions. Is the dollar widely accepted these 2 places? Thanks!!!!

Default Re: Native currency

It is widely and eagerly accepted. Be aware though that you will probably receive change in native currency. I.E. pesos. Have a good idea of what the exchange rate is before you go ashore.

Take care,
