My husband is allergic to smoke. We cruised on the Carnival Paradise in the Spring and it was wonderful but it is no longer a non-smoking ship. . We want to book another cruise with our children. I am getting conflicting opinions from travel agents as to whether all Carnival cabins are non smoking or not.. A Carnival agent told me that all cabins are non smoking which would enable us to go .Travel agents are telling me that you can smoke in the rooms if you want to. It seems that Carnival is stricter than Royal Caribbean. I need to know before I book what the status of the rooms are. If they are smoking rooms, then I will not be able to take my family on a cruise- better to know now before I get there.
Any help you can give me will be appreciated. Thanks
Sailed Carnival Holiday Oct 25th. No ashtray in cabin, but DH smokes and all we had to do was ask for an ashtray. I have not smoked in over 2 years, and I did not notice any odor, etc. when we first entered the cabin. I do not know if there were any cabins specifically non-smoking that stayed that way during the entire cruise. Appears to me that anyone could smoke in any cabin with/without an ashtray - cabin steward probably would not say anything. Why not call the cruiseline directly instead of going by what the TA says?
People do smoke in the cabins. Saying that understand that I cannot abide by the smell of smoke any longer but I have never had a problem with oders in any of the cabins. The airconditioning unit works wonders and the spray the cabins attendants use eliminate any residual odor of smoke.
