Default Formal, Informal and Casual

How do I know if my particular cruise has formal, informal and casual? I thought it only had formal and casual. We are on Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas Western Caribbean leaving this Sunday?????

You will most likely have the 2 formals and one informal and the rest casual...

The RCI website has a section about the dress code and which sailing have how many formal nights. I found it very helpful.

Radiance is one of our favorite ships! To me formal is tux or dark suit, and most men wear dark suits. Anything else is casual/informal/comfortable, whatever you want to call it. On most cruises, there are some staunch casual adherents who won't wear a suit to their own funeral, and as long as they are wearing long pants, they're allowed into the dining room.

Just make sure you have a couple formal outfits and the rest business casual. I used to pack a sports coat for the 'informal' nights but soon found I was one of the very few that did so. To save luggage space I dropped the coat but still bring a tie just in case I'm feeling frisky. <G>
