Default switching cabins...

I am traveling with a group of 25 on the Monarch on 12/20. I was told by my travel agent that there would be no problem for a few of the guests to switch rooms once they boarded. We had to do some juggling because a few of the guests were 18-21 and in a room with another 18-21, so we had to switch an "adult" (older person!) into that room just for the reservation. Well, I received my tickets and in bold letters it states that no name changes are allowed the day of boarding. Needless to say, I am more than a bit concerned! There are three of us adults who were switched into a room with young adults, away from our spouses, and were assured that it was just for the reservation. Does anyone have any experience with this or any thoughts on the matter?? As much as I love these kids, I do NOT want to spend my 50th B-Day celebration in a quad with 20 year olds!!

Help...

What ship are you on? Some ships use different systems for opening cabin doors.

Name changes cannot be made the day of booking, but you can switch cabins once you're on the ship. People do it all the time and the cruiselines don't really care because they realize people want to bunk with their spouses and leave their kids in another room.

Don't worry about it. When you get to your cabins just go to the room with your spouse.

Regards,
Thomas
