Default Ft Lauderdale to Miami?

Hello, I'll be going on a cruise that departs from Miami but our flight will arrive in Ft Lauderdale. (Carnival cruise) What is the best way to get from Lauderdale to Miami port? We were planning on just catching a cab, but if anyone has any other suggestion, I'm all ears! (only 2 of us travelling)

Also, when the cruise ends, we'll have almost 10 hours to kill, any ideas what we can do with our luggage? Thanks for your help!

i am in the same situation in January, we are renting a car and driving so we can sight see and then dropping our car off and getting a cab from there. From what i've heard that's cheapest way to do it! good luck!

on the Norwegian Spirit!

you have a few options- do your research and price them out.
Check out the prices of a Carnival Transfer
One-Way Car Rental
Shuttle service provided by limo services.

Post - Cruise - look into a ships sponsored post-cruise tour, gives you something to do and you don't have to worry about your luggage.

The rental car is probably your best bet. Just rent from an agency which has a drop of spot fairly close to the port. I know Enterprise has one just 5 minutes from the pier, and I believe Budget has one located in the Hyatt, which is also close by.

There are no one way drop charges in Florida btw., at least from the major agencies.

Hi! We just returned two weeks ago and did the exact same thing. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale rented a car on a one way rental (26.72 per day) and did the same thing in reverse on the way back. It saved us a fair amount since there was four of us and it gave us the convenience of going where we wanted to go.
