Hi I was wondering what everyones reccomendations are when it comes to storing your sail and sign card while on shore doing excursions like snorkeling, etc. What about your wallet? What if you don't have someone to stay on shore while you are playing in the ocean?
We ues the little water proof necklace/ containers. Sorry I don't know the name of them,
but you can buy them at the scuba or swim shop for a few bucks. They really are needed
for the water activities.
If that doesn't work, I followed watersports on the left side of home page, then watersport bags. Most of their bags are drybags for canoeing & white water rafting, there are several smaller personal bags.
I purchased the Tern Bag and SealLine Seal Pack (I think small). I'm too lazy to return one of them (the original intent), so I'll be bringing both to see how they work. Tern Bag looks like a good deal for the price. I'm on Valor 1/23, so I'll try to remember to post how they held up after that.
A couple of things: Sign and Sail cards, cash and credit cards will still work if they get wet. In the event your credit cards or sign and sail cards do get wet from salt water just give them a rinse in fresh water and dry them with a towel. You can actually just wipe them off with no problem. Don't worry about the cash. Just handle it gently until it dries.
No water wallet will work unless you seal it correctly. I learned the hard way and ruined some medication and few paper cards when I didn't pay attention to the seal.
Have a GREAT time and enjoy snorkeling. It's something you'll never forget.
